Anna Palmer Darkes

Anna has focused on research and writing for her entire career. 

As the managing staff attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida, she worked with the team of lawyers who perform research and writing for the 65 judges in Orange and Osceola counties.  This job required analyzing complex legal issues, reviewing court records, researching the applicable law, and drafting orders, memos, or opinions.  Her favorite feedback was:  "you made me look smart!"

She left full-time employment after 25 years with the court, but during that time, Anna began assisting friends with their proofreading and editing needs, gaining a small but devoted clientele.

Now working part-time as an independent contractor for another court in Florida, she is accepting new clients who need assistance with their writing projects.

Anna holds degrees in English and law, both from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
